The Genesis Convention is a political-social initiative created in response to the crisis following the events of October 7th.
Its aim is to unite Israelis across the political spectrum and establish broad consensus to repair and strengthen Israeli society. The client sought a smart branding solution that would communicate values of trust, unity as opposed to uniformity, and statehood in a time of national crisis.
This project was an urgent, real-time response to the national crisis, requiring a rapid turnaround in an extremely short timeframe. The challenge was to design a visual identity that communicated unity and healing without referencing local political bodies or figures. The branding needed to appeal to a broad and diverse audience, representing all parts of Israeli society while avoiding any biased imagery that could divide or alienate different groups.

My approach was to focus on creating a design that symbolized collective strength and hope through familiar Israeli visuals. The logo’s two stripes draw inspiration from the Israeli flag, while the bold typography evokes a sense of trustworthiness, with a nostalgic touch. The color palette was selected to communicate trust and inclusivity, intentionally avoiding specific political associations. To add a more personal, grounded feel, we incorporated handwritten and manual elements, subtly referencing signatures. Historical images were carefully selected from archival sources, depicting the inspiring reality of kibbutzim in the Gaza border area during early settlement days.
The final branding successfully captured the essence of unity, inclusivity, and healing, offering a neutral yet impactful visual identity. The client was satisfied with the result, noting that the branding effectively communicated the message of The Genesis Covenant and helped rally people around its mission, despite the sensitive and urgent nature of the project.
