Factor is an Israeli fintech mobile app designed for freelancers and small business owners, enabling financial independence.
The service offers immediate payment upon project completion, bypassing typical payment delays. The project required creating a distinctive brand identity that would stand out in the saturated financial sector, conveying reliability, security, and efficiency, while maintaining an approachable tone. Additionally, we were tasked with planning, designing, and prototyping an intuitive and practical user interface tailored to Factor’s unique service.
This project involved challenges such as designing a complex and detailed wireframe from a basic flowchart provided by the client, requiring deep understanding and creative problem-solving. Additionally, with little prior familiarity with the fintech industry and its terminology, I conducted thorough research to bridge the knowledge gap.

I began with comprehensive competitor research on fintech applications in Israel and abroad to identify trends and best practices. Following this, we developed the brand identity, defining the app's personality and tone. A unique slogan was created to complement the brand’s messaging.
In the branding phase, we developed two design concepts that reflected the brand’s values. The selected concept featured a minimal, streamlined logo inspired by a pie chart, subtly referencing the recognizable Pac-Man silhouette. The logo symbolizes both the app's mission to enable users economic independence and its connection to the fintech world. We chose a bold, youthful color palette to appeal to the target audience and paired it with a readable, trustworthy typography commonly used by prominent financial brands.
Once the brandbook was completed, I transitioned to designing the app's user interface. Expanding the basic flowchart provided by the client, I created an advanced wireframe consisting of around 40 screens and states. This step required transforming abstract ideas into a functional, user-friendly mechanism, all while adhering to the client’s requirements and service limitations. I sought guidance from mentors throughout this process to ensure the design was both practical and precise.
With the wireframe in place, I moved on to the visual design of the interface, applying the branding guidelines. I incorporated custom digital illustrations and animations into various screens to enhance user engagement, reinforce the brand identity, and provide intuitive guidance throughout the user flow.
At the project’s conclusion, I delivered well-organized and detailed development files, maintaining close communication with the development team to ensure seamless implementation. The clients were highly satisfied with the result, highlighting the intuitive and practical user interface and the attractive branding, which successfully established trust and credibility for the Factor brand.
