The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality approached us to rebrand its official podcast, aiming to engage a young audience and capture the city’s dynamic, vibrant and diverse spirit.
The client wanted a logo that aligns with the contemporary podcast culture and appeals to a broad, inclusive audience, celebrating cultural diversity and human connection.
This project’s primary challenge was to rebrand a well-established logo under the brand guidelines of Tel-Aviv Municipality, while maintaining its original intent and connection with its established audience. The redesign needed to feel modern and appealing to younger listeners, without losing its relevance to the broader, diverse demographic. Additionally, the logo had to reflect the wide multicultural essence of Tel Aviv-Yafo, balancing modernity with cultural depth.

At first, I conducted an in-depth research of current podcast branding trends, in order to create a contemporary look, while remaining true to the brand’s roots. Through my research I formulated a strong design concept to guide this project - “Tel-Aviv for Everyone - A Collective Urban Identity”.
I chose to preserve the central object from the original logo, but refine its shape and proportions to allow a precise, balanced display in different formats. The color scheme carefully references Tel Aviv-Yafo’s official brand colors, representing values of community, fellowship, shared identity and hope. I used different blending modes so that the encounter of underlying shapes would create more colors, to illustrate the unique fabric of urban life, and the fusion of cultures that makes Tel-Aviv.
The new logo successfully captures Tel Aviv-Yafo’s dynamic energy, making the podcast feel relevant and accessible to a wide audience. The new branding has been well-received, both by our client and their audience. Following this rebranding project, the client decided to expand its podcast brand and establish additional sub-brands. The new Logo and brand identity I created were widely displayed on advertising boards throughout the city, and are still being used to this day.
